About the Course
This course explores the foundations of attachment, identity development, and dissociative personality structures through a relational lens. Drawing from decades of clinical experience, Barry Litt presents an innovative framework that integrates EMDR therapy, attachment theory, psychobiology, and ego state work to deepen trauma treatment. You'll learn how attachment injuries shape identity, relationships, and symptoms across the lifespan. Through lecture, clinical examples, and practical interventions, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how personality develops, how dissociation manifests in clinical practice, and how relational healing can be incorporated into EMDR therapy. A central focus of the training is the I-Gaze Interweave, a powerful intervention designed to support attachment repair and transformational healing within the therapeutic relationship. Clinicians will learn when to use the intervention, when not to use it, and how to integrate it safely into Phase Four reprocessing.
